Upgrade to Ultimate Question

I am currently using Windows Vista Business from my local college's
Microsoft software sharing service. As I understand it I am free to use this
software as part of school until I am done with my school work.

At any rate, I was thinking about upgrading to Vista Ultimate. If I do do
this with this installation will I think "own" the installation of Ultimate
(the upgrade price seems about the same as an OEM copy) and then I can keep
using it after school?

Also will if I ever need to reinstall will I first need to install my copy
of Business and then upgrade to the Ultimate version again with the software
package I bought?

Or is my ultimate best solution to just go out and purchase an OEM copy of
Vista Ultimate a do a clean install of it on my machine.

My current machine is a home built, btw.

Thanks,

CORY,

Why do you wish to purchase an OEM copy? If you purchase the full retail
copy (not the Upgrade edition) you can get a good deal from Microsoft on
additional copies of Vista.

It is worth your time to visit the Windows Vista website and check it out.

Have a nice day.

Of course, you can do that.

No, you can boot from the DVD/CD with the upgrade, format the HD, lay down
the O/S, and go through the activation process which you'll most likely have
to make the phone call to get it activated.

You can clean install if you boot from the DVD/CD player with the upgrade.

You should just upgrade Vista over Vista, since Vista is already on the
machine.
