Upgrade to Outlook 2003

Phil

I have office xp which contains outlook 2002. I wish to
install outlook 2003. Do I install this as a new programme
or is it installed as an upgrade to the existing outlook
2002. Are there any handy tips I should know prior when
installing this new software.

Your assistance is appreciated.

Installing Outlook 2003 will cause Outlook 2002 to be removed from your
system, since the two cannot coexist.

Thanks Sue,

So I would need to treat outlook 2003 as a complete new
product and have to re-enter all my contacts and data into
the new oulook 2003 programme. Surely microsoft would have
come up with a better method than this knowing that there
would be many users of their previous product who would
want to switch to the newer product.

Can you confirm the re-entering of the old data.

No, that's not what I said at all. Outlook 2003 replaces the Outlook 2002
*program*. It doesn't do anything to your data and mail profiles.
