upgrade to a newer MS office from 2002

I have MS 2002 and get in Outlook- my "enter network password" window keeps
popping up and stops incoming emails. if I upgrade to a newer version will
that eliminate this error? thanks

I assume that you are using Windows Vista. Outlook 2002 saved the password
in an area that it is denied to. If on Vista, yes an upgrade to Office 2007.

Actually I am using XP not Vista, and wondering if I upgrade my XP or Outlook
version will this error go away? thanks

Probably not. What happens after you enter your network password? Do you
have "Remember password" enabled?
