Upgrade question

Can anyone confirm whether an actual XP install is required for an Upgrade
version of Vista to be used, or if it justs needs qualifying media?

Windows 2000 also qualifies.
I can't confirm, but from what I have been reading, just the media is
required, not an actual install.
It would be silly to require an extra 2 hours to install Vista if you have
to install XP first. Especially when Microsoft went to a lot of trouble to
cut down the install time for Vista.
