Upgrade path from XP Home to W2K Professional

Is it possible to upgrade from Windows XP Home edition to
Windows 2000 Professional and retain all application and
OS settings? What is the recommended procedure to make
this upgrade?

No, XP to W2K is not a workable installation path. You can install Windows
2000 as a parallel installation or do a clean install but you wont be able
to upgrade.
