Upgrade New XP Home with Old XP Professional

Hi everyone,
My name is Fernando and I do have a new computer shipped with xp home sp2
and software pre installed that is very useful for my business. In addition I
do have a CD of XP Professional that I've purchased before. When I tried to
upgrade the new computer with XP Home SP2 to XP Professional it tell's me
that, the current computer OS is newer than the one I'm trying to install.
I don't want to format and install, since If I do that I will lose all those
preinstalled programs.
Please, help I need installing XP Professional with an older build into a
box with a newer build of XP Home SP2.

This error message arises because your current WinXP Home
installation is at a higher Service Pack level than is the WinXP Pro
installation CD you're trying to use. You must either uninstall the
service pack(s) from the WinXP Home installation (not an option if it
cam pre-installed), or use a WinXP Pro installation CD with the same (or
higher) service pack incorporated. It's quite easy to create an
installation CD with the latest service pack (SP2) slipstreamed into the
installation files:
