Upgrade ME-2000

Hi,I have a client who cn no longer stand WinME so i
convinced her to go to 2000. What probs can I expect by
doing an upgrade over a clean install?
She is afraid of losing programs and settings.
Her machine is a Dell Emachine with all kinds of Dell
settings installed.Will I need to contact Dell?
She is using Prodigy as her ISP any probs there?

As long as the hardware is compatible with win2K, go ahead
and do a CLEAN INSTALL. The upgrade path ME to 2K is not
supported. You will encounter numerous problems later on.
It is unavoidable that the settings will be lost together
with the programs. But the data will be OK as long as
they are backed up.
