Upgrade help

Hi -
I have a OEM licensed version of XP Pro on 1 computer and a licensed version
of Home on another computer (i bought this copy and installed it myself).

I would like to upgrade both computers to XP Pro Sp2. How do I go about
doing this? Do I need to buy 2 versions of the SP upgrade? Or can I install
one version on both computers?
thanks,

All you need to do is to install SP2 on your existing
Windows XP Pro installation, which is free.

Windows XP Service Pack 2
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/default.mspx

In order to upgrade your existing Windows XP Home
Edition installation to Windows XP Pro, you'll need
to purchase a "Retail Upgrade Version" of Windows
XP Pro which should already include SP2.

You can upgrade both computers to SP2 with no problems using Windows
Update; the full SP2 download from Microsoft
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...BE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5A&displaylang=en
or the free SP2 CD from Microsoft
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/default.mspx

However that will still leave your one computer running XP Home and
the other running XP Pro.

In order to upgrade your XP Home machine to XP Pro you will need to
purchase the Retail Upgrade version of XP Pro.

Before doing this you should ensure that you have a actual or
anticipated future need for one of the specific functions or features
that are found in XP Pro but are not included with XP Home. Other
than these items the two versions are identical and are both produced
from the same source code base. In particular there is zero
difference in performance or stability between the two versions.

Good luck
