Upgrade from XP Home to XP Professional

We purchased from DELL an 8250. The salesman convinced
us that since the machine was to be used at home we
should be satisfied with XP HOME version.

That was a mistake. How do I upgrade to XP Professional?

You buy a XP Pro upgrade CD (unless you can persuade Dell to sell you
the upgrade at cheaper price than retail. Make sure that there really
is an item in Pro only that you need - see for example
http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_home_pro.asp

Aside from those matters (and a support for 10 rather than 5 connections
in a network) the systems are the same
