Is your Vista Business preinstalled or retail?

It's preinstalled. I would prefer the home edition but why downgrade? so
that's why I want to go higher with the ultimate :)

Ultimate is an excellent choice provided that you have sufficient memory.
2GB is absolutely the minimum for a satisfactory experience and 3GB+ is
nicer. You can purchase an upgrade edition of Vista Ultimate online or from
your local retailer.

I don't recommend using Anytime Upgrade in your situation. A retail upgrade
edition license can be transferred to a new computer in the future but the
Anytime Upgrade license will not be tranferrable because your Vista Business
is not transferrable (AU licenses are tied to the Windows upgraded from).
Of course you can buy a full edition if you wish and still perform an
upgrade with it.

Only retail licenses of Vista entitle you to both the 32bit and 64bit dvds
for free (preinstalled Vista are not eligible for both dvds). A retail copy
of Ultimate will have both dvds in the box.
