Upgrade from ME

I am upgrading a machine that currently has Windows ME. If I go with an
upgrade version of Winows XP instead going with a clean install of the full
version what happens if the system crashes and I have to re-install the
operating system? Is it going to let me install it with the upgrade version?
or Will I have to get a full version of XP?

As long as you have a genuine Microsoft ME CD, you will be able to reinstall
XP.. if you don't have one, then get the full version XP..

Providing you have the early edition o/s (ME) cd to point to when the
upgrade cd complains of no qualifying version.
