Upgrade from ME to XP, system shutdown error 1073741819

Have recently upgraded from ME to XP. Received error
message indicating C:\windows\system32\lsass.exe
terminated unexpectedly. Found error and solution on
Microsoft's website, which tells me to install a Windows
2000 svc pac. If I have already upgraded to XP, wouldn't
that cover the svc pac?
 
I think that means you have acquired the Sasser virus (or worm).
Visit Symantec or one of the other AV sites for a removal procedure.
