Upgrade from Home to Pro

A user has upgraded their home computer using the Pro
Upgrade so they could join our domain at work. I am
unable to accomplish this and suspect there is some "hook"
preventing their computer from joining the domain.

I have not found much on this issue but did find article
814003.

Can you provide some direction to resolving this? I don't
want to have to load a full blown Pro version just to
resolve this.

What happens when you try to join the machine to the domain? What error
message? What kind of server? How can anyone help you when you provide no
information to work with?
