Upgrade from 5.0 to 6.0 Problem

S

Sarah

Hello.

Some of our customers did an upgrade of IE from 5.0 to 6.0
directly (skipping 5.5). They have noticed problems after
they did this.

The latest case was noticing an "Incompatible Version of
the RPC Stub" error that appeared when using our site that
they didn't get prior to the upgrade to 6.0. There was
documentation of this error corresponding to IE 6.0 SP1
and Windows NT 4.0, but the user's computer has Windows 98.

Is there documentation that supports our findings of this
upgrade problem?

Thanks for your anticipated help.

Remove WebHancer, Gator, and Web 3000 Network
from ADD/REMOVE in control panel.....these are among the
causes. MSN 4.5 has been known to cause this (Probably the
earlier 4.5 versions).
