You'll need an actual Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME
installation CD in order to use an upgrade version of
Windows XP to perform a "clean install".
If you do not have one of the aforementioned CDs,
then you'll need to purchase a "Full Version" of
Microsoft XP since you are no longer qualified to
use the upgrade version.

| I upgraded from W98 to XP-Home on my computer and later the hard drive failed. I am unable to use the
Upgrade CD to install an OS on the new hard drive since I did not receive a CD of W98 with my original
computer.
| What is the solution?? Thanks.
