Upgrade CD on new Hard Drive

I upgraded from W98 to XP-Home on my computer and later the hard drive failed. I am unable to use the Upgrade CD to install an OS on the new hard drive since I did not receive a CD of W98 with my original computer.
What is the solution?? Thanks.

You'll need an actual Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME
installation CD in order to use an upgrade version of
Windows XP to perform a "clean install".

If you do not have one of the aforementioned CDs,
then you'll need to purchase a "Full Version" of
Microsoft XP since you are no longer qualified to
use the upgrade version.

Buy Windows XP "full install" or buy Windows 98 upgrade so you have
qualifying media!
