Upgrade BIOS or not

Greetings,

I'm running the 1004 bios, which is what I've had since I built this
computer many months ago. It has never crashed, not even once. I usually
update my bios every several months, but it's been running perfectly, so
it's seems like a bad move. Since stability is obviously not a problem
for me, are there any speed advantages or new settings? What do you
think? I'm not overclocked. This is the machine:

AMD Athlon 64 FX-55 Socket 939

I would seriously consider flashing the BIOS - paying careful
attention to the advice on the Asus download website - as the current
BIOS 1015 offers
"1. Support new CPUs. Please refer to our website at:
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx
2. Fix unstable under 400MHz-Single channel issue.
3. Modify DDR max speed from 400MHz to 333Hz when full loading."

Never and I repeat NEVER flash your motherboard BIOS unless it
addresses a problem your having or add's support for a device your
planning on adding to the system. If your flash goes bad or fails to
complete your motherboard is useless till you can either replace the
BIOS chip with one correctly flashed or have yours reflashed
successfully.

Thanks. How about the chipset drivers. If I'm not having any problems,
leave them alone?
