Upgrade Advisor Crash

I am desparately hoping to upgrade rather then do a fresh
installation. When I run the Advisor, the program crashes
when it gets to the system files for DVD Movie Maker. I
can find no evidence of having such a program on my 98
installation. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might
be going on?
 
same thing happens to me, although I plan on a new HD and brand new install. But - when the advisor reaches the Movie dvd part - blue screen.
