its trying to update the definitions but it doesnt
contact server and if it says that the definitions are
being downloaded it freezes, just happened about 15-20
minutes ago and worked fine since even reinstalled and no
spyware/virus

Yeah, its buggy at times, expects to see reliability in beta 2.

How long did you leave it in the "freeze" state?

I saw something somewhat similar and left it --it cleared up in a few
minutes, and the update to 5711 was successful.
