Updating Windows

I just reformatted my computer and reinstalled Windows. I
then connected to the 'net and tried to do a Windows
update. It cannot update, and I recieve the following
error number: (0x800A138F)

Can anyone help me with this?

well I have installed windows and was doing the updates
and believe I had a problem and rebooted maybe to soon and
didn't complete the update from Microsoft updates and now
will not scan any more for updates ,,, what is happening
here also

new to this this is my first post
