Updating to Outlook 2007

Hello,

My organization has Windows Server 2003, SP2 running Exchange 2003.

Employees in my company are using Windows XP workstations, running Office XP
SP2.

My questions are:

1. Can we update to Outlook 2007 only?

2. What functionality, if any, is lost if we stick with Exchange 2003?

Thanks for your feedback.

I'd also be using Outlook Business Contact Manager 2007. Would any of that
functionality be affected?

Thanks,

Would I lose any functionality if I ran Outlook and Business Contact Manager
2007 using Exchange 2003 (Windows Server 2003, SP2; workstations using
Windows XP SP2) instead of Exchange 2007?

Hope this clarifies.

Outlook 2007's full feature set isn't available inless you're also using
Exchange 2007. What isn't available is clearly described on the Microsoft
Office web site.

BCM operates independently from Exchange so it doesn't matter for BCM if you
use Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007 or no Exchange at all.

No, but it is clearly described on the Technet website. See the link in my
original reply ;-)

Great! It looks like functionality isn't an issue then.

However, I've had some discussions with Microsoft that indicates Outlook
2007 with Business Contact Manager isn't available separately yet. Does this
jive with what you know?

Thanks so much for the info!
