Updating spreadsheets

I have a spreadsheet that is only accessible to my boss and I. There is
another manager who needs to see 1 tab in this spreadsheet every day, as new
information is put in. Since he doesn't have access to the main spreadsheet,
I transfered the info from that tab to a new spreadsheet via lookups. This is
fine, except the other manager cannot update this new sheet, b/c he cannot
access the original information that the lookups point to. My question is: is
it possible to have the new spreadsheet update automatically from the
original one so that the manager can see new info without being prompted to
update?

Not really, he will need to use Edit / Links / Update Links to pull in any
new data, and that will only work if the data has been saved in the orig
workbook. He needs to update each time he wants to use it, but that is
hardly an onerous chore?
