updating PowerPoint 2000

I received a new laptop as a gift and it came with Office
Basic Edition 2003. Since I also need PowerPoint, I
installed a previously purchased edition: PowerPoint
2000.

I recently installed the updates for Office 2003 and
wanted to install updates for PowerPoint 2000. But it
looks like the updates come only in packages for Office.
If I install updates for Office 2000 (in order to update
PowerPoint), will it interfere with the softward for
Office 2003?
