Updating links to other office documents

Are there any Third Party utilities which can automatically (or with
some user interaction) change the links of other Office documents within
Powerpoint presentations ?

How are links to other MS office documents and objects stored within the
Powerpoint
object model?

Have a look at PPTools FixLinks - there's a free demo at
http://www.pptools.com
It pretty much does this automatically, within the limits imposed by PPT and
OLE.

Powerpoint
object model?

It depends on what type of links. For OLE linked shapes, you can look at
the shape's .LinkFormat.SourceFullName
