Updating FrontPage from one ver. to another?

Steven Banks

Hi Folks,

The subject line isn't all that exacting. here's what I want to do.

My son will be a senior next year. I plan on getting him his own domain name
and I am going to put together a web site for him. Something with a
professional look & feel so that when he interviews etc. he has a place for
people, companies, to download files (resume etc.) from and get a general
feel for him as a person.

Here's the thing, I use FP 2003 and he has FP 2000. To what extent will he
be able to edit his own web site at that point? I would think anything
textual and of a photo nature... just not the doo-dads that are specific to
FP2003. Right?

The only other thing that might be a hassle is if I use a theme that he does
not have in his version. Then creating new pages with the theme would not be
possible.

Any thoughts, suggestions welcome.

Thanks,
Steve Banks

Just don't use any FP2003 features that are not in the FP2000 version, such as New Themes, Dynamic
Web Templates, Photo Gallery, Shared Borders with background image/color feature, Link Bars, and few
other items I can't think of.

Why don't you get him an upgrade to FP 2003?
