Updating Distribution Lists

We have Outlook 2000. When we use the Update Now button
to "refresh" the email addresses in a distribution list,
it will resort the list and file it in First Name, Last
Name Order instead of Last, First like the Contact folder
default. Does anyone know why it does this or how to get
it to stop?

No and no.
Inexplicably, DL's seem not to abide by the sorting parameters you set for
the Outlook Address Book. They seem to use the old convention of sorting by
the Subject field instead, and the Subject field reverts to FN, LN every
time you update a Contact.
We've said it a hundred times. DL's are buggy.
