Updating Access Databases linked to webites

Hi,
Please can someone help me out. I just took over a website, which has
an access db attached to the website. currently there is a drop down
list box which contains options, after selecting an option you are
taken to some other page on the website. I want to be able to update
the access database and have the new update take effect on the website.
I am a total newbie at this, can someone help me pls!!!
 
Open the live site, export the database to your hard drive, update that
database with Access and then import it back into your live site.
