Updates before SP4

Now that SP4 is released, windows update does not show any of the hotfixes /
patches that were required for a PC previous to SP4. Since I want to test
SP4 before I apply it across the network, is there any way I can find out a
list of all the hotfixes that PCs on our network required before SP4 came
out?

I'm aware of the catalogue feature of WU, however, this doesn't tell me what
patches are already installed and what remains... Should I use Microsoft
Baseline Analyser?

MBSA could be your solution, but you might also check into SUS longer-term

service!
