UpdateFields when printing

Hi,
I've a customer who insists that Word asks him the 'fill-in' and
'ask'-fields when he prints out or previews a document, still the options
for updating the fields are disabled. Is there some other 'hidden' option to
avoid this? The same documents don't ask me when trying them on my PC. Any
help appreciated.

All fields in the header and footer are updated at print time even with this
"Update fields" Print Option disabled.
