ZipGenius is the file compression suite you were searching for: it is free
and easy to use, plus it supports more than 20 formats of compressed
archives, including RAR, ARJ, ACE, CAB, SQX and the excellent 7-zip.

Kindly regards.

Just a small point. I use this program for most of my zipping/unzipping, but
I use 7-zip for .rar which seems to handle .rar files much better than
Winrar for some reason.

Do others use different zip programs for different reasons? It seems the zip
programs are all multi-function now a days. ;)

Afair, the "rarification" is copyrighted to Eugene Schoulten,
WinRAR's author. Therefore 7-zip "only" handles the .rar format in
terms of unarchiving and not archiving.
