Does XnView have advantages over IrfanView?

I like XNView's controls for saturation, hue, color, brightness, and
contrast. When you move the sliders, the full screen picture changes in real
time. IrfanView uses a thumbnail view that you have to squint at while doing
enhancements.

The first advantage that comes to mind is the resizable preview pane in the
Xnview image browser. This is very valuable and regrettably omitted from
Irfanview. Each program is stronger in different areas. I sure wish both
were better for managing multipage images. Keep both on your hard drive.

One program I liked but haven't checked for an update lately is Vallen
Jpegger.

AFAIK, XnView supports more file formats then Irfanview (even with
the adequate plugin installed).
