update woes

Lost power doing critical updates the other day, now can't
resume or begin
again, says downloaded but cant install.
Also can't add/remove programs (generates errors).
Something is stuffed cause now when I try to dock it keeps
rebooting
Everything was fine prior to this.
Compaq Armada laptop running winn 2000 pro
