Update public calendar to personal calendar

I'm trying to find a way to either do a one way sync between a public
exchange calendar and an individuals personal calendar (for a specific
date range) or to use the meeting feature to invite a distribution
list to a series of appointments all at once. Any ideas?

you can also invite the public folder calendar itself, its mail enabled.
what happens when you invite the distribution list?

is the series of meetings recurring or do you need to send multiple
individual dates?

The meetings are a long list of seperate appointments within a
specific date range, where it would be cumbersome to make each one an
invited event with seperate responses, etc. I am hoping to find a way
to do it in bulk. Alternatively I would need a way to automatically
update / copy contents of a public calendar (within a specified date
range) to your personal calendar.

Without seeing the original posts to refresh my memory, I can only go by
what is here - and the answer is that unless the events are recurring on the
same time and with the same pattern, outlook will need individual events. If
the attendance is different for each, you'll need separate appointments.
There is no shortcut method that makes one giant meeting request covering
different dates.

If you need to copy a PF calendar to everyone's private calendar, you'd need
to use an event sink on the exchange server. You could also try a rules on
a mail-enabled public folder to forward items to a DL as they are created.

If non-free software is not a problem;
This is one of the things that you can do with our product called
Exchange Group Calendar.
You would create the item in the public folder with #*# in the subject
and all members of that group calendar will have the item in their
personal calendar.
You can find it on www.exchangegroupcalendar.com
