Update Problem

Hi,,

I have downloaded the Windows Defender, when i am trying to do the updates
it gives me the below error message.

Windows Defender was unable to complete the update : 0x8024401b,

kindly let me know your commnets @ (e-mail address removed)

Try to download the update from Windows Updates.

Can you reach Windows Update? Does it give you Windows Defender signature
updates when you do?

Are you on a large network where updates are controlled by the
administrators?

Thanks for your help yeah i have done but seems to contune the same issue...

Windows Update should offer definition updates.

If you are on a corporate network, the automatic update within the program
may not function unless the network administrators have the right
infrastructure in place (WSUS) and have allowed the updates.
