Like many updates, I take a "wait and see" attitude, in this case,You are not alone. Do a search for kb925902 and you will find
several posts complaining of problems with this update,
including mine. My post was the earliest of the bunch, and so
far, nobody, no one has given me a clue as to what has
happened. And the error message I got, 80070000B, when my
machine attempted to install the patch evidently refers to
other operating systems which I do not run, and programs which
I am not using.

I have spent over 4 hours on the phone with Microsoft regarding this issue.
They have admitted that this patch "has problems" when applied to Vista.
Currently there is no fix. Microsoft employees are having to reinstall the
OS on their work computers as well. I have flattened 3 Vista PC's and
(temporarily) re-installed XP.
