update for backround intelligent transfer service

After installing the bits 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773)
updates any later updates I attempt to install bring the
auto-updates portion of the software to a lock-up. The
download freezes at 0% (overnight) and I have to do a
system restore prior to the installation of the KB842773
to return to normal. Can I skip this particular update
and will the following ones load normally? what is the
issue with this particular update?

I'ld personalize the updates and uncheck it so it wont
