Update Failure

I am performing the maintenance that the Microsoft Update
program indicates; I have previously installed service
pack 2 via download. The suggested service included
two .NET updates. One is Release 1.0, service pack 3.
The other is Release 1.1. The Release 1.1 update went
OK, but the Release 1.0, Service Pack 3 update failed. I
cannot find any details on this failure and I cannot
query Microsoft with a passport.
I would welcome any help!

The .net framework v1.1 is the current release of .net for clients. One of
the advantages of using Windows Update - especially the newest version,
v.5 - is that it only presents updates that are apprpriate for your system.
