Is it possible to force changes in existing excel workbooks by changing the
template they were based on, or instructing users to use new supplied
template?
Unlike Word, once a workbook is created from a template, there's no
remaining connection between the template file and the workbook. You'd
need to provide some code in the workbook that checked for an update to
the template. However, that wouldn't force anything, since opening the
workbook with macros disabled would bypass the update.
