Overview :

dBpowerAMP Music Converter (dMC), is one of those must have utilities,
indispensable for converting audio files from one format to another.
Part of dMCs formidable arsenal, is its ability to rip music straight
from Audio CDs!, or LPs [optional install]. Straight out of the box dMC
can convert to and from Wave, Mp3 and from CD Audio (CDA) files. Codec
downloads add Windows Media Audio v8 (WMA), Ogg Vorbis and many more
types to the table. Features include: Volume Normalization - have all
audio tracks use same volume. ID Tag preservation & Editing - keep
those ID tags between conversions, Explorer Audio Info Pop-ups -
display useful information on an audio file in explorer, Convert To -
simplest way of converting right click on a file and select Convert To,
Send audio to your Portable Mp3 Player with Sveta Portable Audio. Fully
compatible with Windows 95/98/ME NT4/2000 and Windows XP. Round of a
perfect package. What's more dMC is free. !! News Just in dMC is the
Fastest Audio CD Ripper !!

What's New:

mp3 decoder huge update: freeform mp3 files, mp2+mp1 files, lame tag
reading
mp3 lame compression, if > 16 bit or 8 bit then tranforms to 16 bit. If
2 channels then lower to 2 channels in the compressor - shouldn't now be possible to get an error mp3 encoding about not opening compressor (needs testing) <--- see if you can get a conversion to fail.
CD Input - freedb proto6 compatible (utf-8)
dMC Configuration redesigned - added a copy to clipboard [version info
and installed codecs], split encoder and decoder list new Options and
Tag Options tab

Just a warning, versions greater than 10.1 no longer have a free MP3
encoder this is now part of the payware version

I think it would help to state that when the description is posted here.
You can access all features free by adding a free mp3 encoder to the
encoder files in dbpoweramp. But as it stands, this description of
features includes some that are payware and that's confusing.

My mistake...
LAME MP3 support isn't free after one month...
Reverting back to release 10.1.
Expect to see this latest free version for download on my site today.
