[PL] PL2005 - program revisions?

S

Susan Bugher

I'd like comments on versions to use for these two programs:

dBpowerAMP Music Converter (dMC)

http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/2005/PL2005MULTIMEDIA.php#0898-PW

This version was nominated:
v 10.1 (2004-01) (dMC-r10.exe) (1484 KB)
(We have permission to distribute it on the PL2005 CD.)

Version 11 has been released - it apparently will not encode MP3 files.
Should PL2005 show current versions or v 10.1 (as the last uncrippled
version)?

Is v 10.1 available for download anywhere?

-------

Free Download Manager (FDM)

http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/2005/PL2005INTERNET.php#3359-PW

This version was selected for the PL because the then current version
contained NavHelper:

v 1.1 build 228 (2004-10-10) (fdm11build 228.zip) (1246 KB)

The latest release is v 1.5 - Jörg Schneider
([email protected]) posted:

"No changelog available, but at least without the NavExcel stuff again:
http://www.freedownloadmanager.org"

Does anyone have more information? Is NavHelper gone for good? Should I
show the current version on PL2005?

Advice from the group please.

I nominated v10.1 and it's still a great program. It is available at
the following link. I wonder if someone who has a freeware site here-
like the son of spyware one- could host it in case they decide to stop
this download:

I prefer the old version even though it's simple to add mp3 to version
11. You download http://www.free-codecs.com/Lame_Encoder_download.htm
and add it to this path. C:\Program
Files\Illustrate\dBpowerAMP\Compression\Lame

Susan,

NAV Helper is gone for good. The author had a little insurrection on his
forum! :)

Thanks Dansheen. :) I'll show version 10.1 on PL2005.
