I'm posting this question to a couple places since it crosses disciplines. I
home someone out there can help me. Here's my dilemma.
We have a SQL based Association Management System with customer information
and we need to periodically update a Public Folder in our Exchange
organization with contact information from a set of records in the SQL
Database.
I'm looking for an inexpensive (preferably free) product or utility that
will help me do this either out of the "box" or with minimal tweaking or
coding on my part. We only need a one-way update from SQL to Exchange/Outlook
and we are fine with running the update process manually. All the products I
have been able to find are so feature-rich and do so much more than we need
that I cannot justify the cost for our simple little update.
I have been using an old version of a utility called OAXfer (now called
DataLink for Outlook) that we could do what we needed with the trial version.
Recently my computer was replaced and due to an oversight, I lost the old
version of OAXfer. The new trial version limits the number of rows it will
sync so the current trial won't work for me (I have between 500 and 600
records) and it's just too expensive for what we need to do.
Can anyone offer suggestions for something between the cumbersome manual
export from SQL and import through Outlook I'm doing now and blowing our
budget on a super-product that has a zillion features we'll never use?
