What do you think ?

What software would you propose for deleting all bak, tmp, gid, and other
temporary files ?

Thanks

What do you think ?

Though there is some overlap in features, Ccleaner has some that
cleancache doesn't and vice versa.

The former has a registry cleaner, and by default clears a few MRUs of
popular third party utilities as well as those of windows. Mrublaster
does far more MRUs though. So this isn't very important to me.

Ccleaner does both Firefox and IE, while for Cleancache you need to use
cleanmocache seperately if you want to do Firefox and Netscape.

On the other hand, Cleancache is very good at what it does. It allows you
to use a secure delete mode to prevent recovery as well as the ability to
trigger the cleaning functions on either browser close, computer startup,
or computer shutdown.

On the negative side, Cleancach requires that you download the pretty
large Microsoft .NET Framework

Another cleaner worth considering is http://www.igorshpak.net/

My current preference is to use Cleanmocache + Mrublaster. The weekly
spybot scanners also pick some of the MRUs up.
What software would you propose for deleting all bak, tmp, gid, and
other temporary files ?

It depends on whether secure deletion is important to you. It will make
recovery of the files harder, but the deleting/erasing will take longer.

If it is important, ccleaner/System security suite is not the right tool.
Cleancache, Mrublaster, Eraser are.

Have you try privacycleaner?

try getting version 2 which is freeware
