Is there a way to update the Briefcase in Windows xP from a command line
statement or batch file?

Mention the full path of your Briefcase folder.

Copy the code to a text editor like Notepad and save the file with .vbs
extension.

I am not familiar with WSH/VBScript. Is this a utility? A separate
software
package?

Do I create a text file and then run it through a compiler?

Thanks!

This is possible using WSH/VBScript (InvokeVerb method). See the example
here:

It appears that the 2nd dialog ("Update New Briefcase") cannot be dismissed
using a script. You may have to manually click the "Update" button.
