Update and reinstalling XP

Can I get a CD from MS with all the latest updates?

If I want to clean up my computer by formating the hard
drive, can I reinstall my original CD?

Yes you can and will need to oringinal CD to reinstall. You can download
updates and burn them to a CD it you would like. but you can't get a fully
updated CD from Microsoft.

Just my advice:

Except for critical updates, you don't need to bother with the whole
collection. They can cause problems, and you never use them, anyway. SP-1a
(service pack) is a different entity, and you CAN get that on a CD.

When you go to MS Update for an update scan on your clean-installed XP, it
wll tell you the critical updates and offer to install them immediately.
