Update 819696 won't install!!

Hi, all!! Using XP/Pro SP1 + patches...

Every time I launch the WindowsUpdate site, it tells me that I need to
install the Secy Update for Windows (819696). I've gone through the
installation 3 or 4 times, and each time it says it was updated (no errors
reported). However, on reboot it still says that that particular update
needs to be installed. It appears to have automatically downloaded it, tho
(Size= 0k, 0 minutes). How do I delete the file it THINKS I have
downloaded, and get rid of this problem (or get the bloody thing to install
in the first place)?!?!?

Hi!!,

The update 819696 is for pre-SP2 systems. SP2 already includes this update
(according to the KB article, and checking the quartz.dll version in a SP2
system here)

Download DirectX 9.0b ..it will be resolved

Ritesh, thanks for responding!

The link to the fix (dxwebsetup.exe) in the KB article you reference leads
to a page that says the requested item is unavailable. A search of the
downloads area for the filename linked to returns no hits, and a search on
the KB article yields the stand-alone patch. Installed it, but I still get
the same message in Windows Update.

Suggestions?
