First of all hello and thanks for anyone who can help. Here is my problem.
When I tried to log in to my computer this morning after the logon process,
all i was able to see was jut a blank wall paper on my desktop and my mouse
cursor, all icons were missing. I then pressed control/alt/delete and open
the taskmanager. i was able to see all of my programs and open some of them.
but the desktop was still blank. I ran my lavasoft adware program and was
able to fing some programs but other than that the computer was virus free.
can you help me reistall my icons on my desktop]\
 
Right click on the desktop and be sure that "Show desktop
icons" is checked.

Try this: right click on your desktop, go to arrange icons by, click Show
Desktop Icons...should do it!
 
trust me i have right click , left click and nothing.... i dont even have a
start bar
nothing it is just wall paper and nothing else works

trust me i have right clicked and left clicked the ehll out of my mouse nothing
i think i got a nasty virus

line 195 far right and install fix. If that doesn't work...
then....

What ever happened to good old Linear and Logical troubleshooting? I dont
like silver bullets.

Perhaps try starting the computer in safe mode (Restart computer and tap the
F8 key. Choose safe mode from the list.)

If it boots into here ok then it is not the core operating system causing
the issue.

If it boots ok try the following:
Start/run msconfig.
Choose selective startup.
Untick System.ini
Untick Win.ini
Untick Load startup items.
Go to the services tab.
Tick the box that says Hide all Microsoft Services.
Untick the remaining one by one(do not click disable all)
Click on apply then close.
Reboot when prompted.

If it boots ok we are on the road to recovery.

This generally has to do with display driver updates, usually from running
MS updates. Either way, try a rollback via the Device Manager. In the
meantime, see if this helps:
