unzip a file

i have just downloaded a game from the internet and it has come up on my
computer as a zipped file. how do i unzip this to play the game?
 
Minnie, go into Start/Help and Support and do a little Search for "zip or
unzip a file" The result will give you a #1 choice under Microsoft
Knowledge Base which has an informative discussion about what zipped files
are and how Windows XP works with them.

I would issue a strong caution to you to run your anti-virus program on the
file you have downloaded before attempting to unzip it. You didn't mention
the source of the file, and unless it is directly from a major software
company, I would make sure to double-check the file.

Unzipping files is native to Windows XP. A simple double-click will do it.
