unwanted windows XP installation setup

crash.test.dummy

i was using my PC running Windows XP Home Edition normally when at one
time, it froze. so i restarted, prompted for Safe Mode, to which i
complied.

as it boots, it displays the files it loads, when all of a sudden, it
stops on mup.sys then it freezes again.

then i inserted the Windows XP Home Edition Installation disc in my
CD-ROM drive, and rebooted, thinking that can restore the corrupted
file, if it is indeed corrupted.

my machine booted from the CD-ROM drive, showing me the Windows Setup
in blue screen. after loading the files, I typed R for Restore. not
knowing what the Administrator password, i tried several other
passwords (I tried to hit Enter to indicate no password but still
prompts me for a password). after 3 tries, it hang on me.

i removed the installation disc from my CD-ROM drive, restarted my
machine and it always gives me a message that says
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\vgaoem.fon is missing or corrupted.

Now I can't even boot my Windows normally.

Is there a way to boot from my Windows XP normally again without
re-installing Windows XP? Are there any settings that needs to be
modified so I can boot normally again?

thanks for your help.

This suggests to me that some one tried to install windows again got so
far and gave up sometimes a default password is ethier administrator,
Administrator or Administrator1
tries these three passwords. does anyone else use the pc? and who
install xp in the first place they would be the one who gave it the
admin password. if all else failts you are going to need to reinstall
the machine
