mostly all the websites I try and go to refer me to a site
called quicklaunch.com/search.php
any topic from my home page I try and go to refers me
right to this page.

first go into ie and tools,options,advanced, and uncheck
both 'enable install on demand. and also disable 3rd party
browser extension, click apply. then download spybot from
safer-networking.org to clean out highjackers or spyware.
update after download and then scan on easy and also
immunize and block bad pages. hopefully this should get
your computer back to being owned by you only and not some
scummy parisitic creature.

Adaware 6.0 at www.download.com is good. Make sure you update the Def's and
do a custom scan, and select all possible items (Turn them green)
