Someone or something has indtroduced a toolbar in
Explorer labled "oolldshqtth" which includes a search
window and various buttons to links for gambling, mps
music, books, entertainment, etc. I can turn this off by
going to the toolbars option in the view menu, but I
can't get rid of it. Does anyone know how to delete this
from the toolbars menu?

Hi Val,

You can get rid of that toolbar entry by editing the registry. The key
affected is:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions]

I am sorry i don't have your answer, but I have the same
problem and am hoping someone here can help, and will
know "how to" delete these added/unwanted advert.
toolbars!??
Mine is showing as: "toeatelychf"

Siljaline,

Thank you very much. AdAware is amazing, but still didn't
eliminate the unwanted toolbar. I got a page not found
error on the URL for SpyBot, but HijackThis did find the
bogus registry entry and removed it. I really appreciate
your help.

vc: please take note.

Val
