unwanted searchbar

last week i was just surfing around and at a moment a searchbar has been added to my internet explorer 6.0 browse
so i send a mail to the makers of that searchbar but they told me to ask it to an expert. but i think i can do it myself with a little help. so can pls someone help me? i search on my pc to find the location where it's installed but i couldn't find anything, i think i ave to delete an icon from the processes list in my taskbar but i don't know wich one

Sounds like spyware or a home page hijacker.

That's adware or spyware, and of course the offending culprits aren't going
to tell you how to remove it. Visit the following web site and check out the

Get ToolbarCop:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k

ToolbarCop removes the Toolbars, Toolbar buttons and unwanted menu-extensions from Internet Explorer. It does not remove the spyware from the system entirely.

Additionally, run Ad-Aware scan (www.lavasoftusa.com). Update Ad-Aware before scanning

Go to control panel/add-remove programs and look in the
list for the tool bar. It's most likely listed there.
If so, just remove it.
